As India continues to fight the coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a massive package of 20 Lakh crores to make India self-reliant.

In his address, PM Modi insisted on promoting indigenous products to make the country self-reliant. In his address to the nation on Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi made a big appeal to the citizens of the country. Bringing a new slogan – ‘Vocal for local’ – He urged the countrymen to promote swadeshi products and motivate others too in buying local products.

Modi said that young people should come forward in forming small organizations, motivating people, explaining and deciding “Come, we will buy only local, products, emphasize on local products.

Did Prime Minister Modi indirectly ask Indians to boycott Chinese Products? India imports Chinese products of poor quality, is it likely to come to an end? If so, the day is not far off when India will become self-independent.

PM Modi said the world has been fighting against COVID-19 for over four months. It would not be wrong to say that the 21st century will be India’s century and India has been a milestone for progress in the last century. It is true that India is going through a bad patch at present, but the country needs to become self-reliant in the world after the coronavirus pandemic, PM Modi said.

The Indian Prime Minister in his speech said that India, which was not manufacturing even a single personal protective equipment (PPE) kit, has now achieved an almost unrealistic goal of producing 2.06 lakh PPE kits daily within two months after the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, 2 lakh N95 masks are being manufactured in India every day and these masks are being sent to various hospitals.

“We had never seen or heard about such a crisis ever before. This is definitely unimaginable for mankind. This was unprecedented. But humanity will not accept defeat from this virus. We have to not only protect ourselves but also move forward,” Modi said.

Further, Prime Minister said, “The crisis has brought a key opportunity for India. We are at a critical juncture in this fight. A self-reliant India is the only way forward. We need to make India excel in a post-COVID world order.

“We have heard that the 21st century will be India’s. Our resolve is much bigger than the crises. We have to save ourselves and continue our fight. We will not give up or accept defeat,” he added.
