Srinagar, ANI. The Pakistan Army on Tuesday violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

It is noteworthy that in the Sunderbani sector of Akhnoor, Pakistan opened fire in residential areas late Saturday. The villagers say that the shelling started around 8.30 pm when people were coming to the temples to celebrate Janmashtami. There is no notice of loss of life or property in the shelling. The shelling spread panic in the residential areas. Pakistan has not been deterred from firing on the international border and the Line of Control for the last few days.

On Saturday evening, Pakistan opened fire on the Line of Control targeting Battal village. The villagers say that some shells crossed the village. They believe that these shells were targeted in the residential area. The atmosphere of panic spread in the area due to the shelling.
