A tanker car filled with uncontrollable acid overturned on a mode of the place of Desori in Rajsamand district. Nine people died tragically in the accident. All the deceased are said to be from the same family, who had left for Shahpura town in Bhilwara district. The dead include three children, two women, and four men. The incident took place in the afternoon.
The accident occurred in Desuri Naal at Punjab Morh. Due to the leakage of ACID from the inverted tanker, no one was able to go near for help after the incident. Later when water was sprayed. It took three hours and the bodies could be taken out.
It was told that there were nine people in the van and all died. Due to this, the mega high way of Charbhuja to Desuri road was jammed for about five hours and there was a long queue of vehicles on both sides of the road. The car coming from the front fell on top.
After the accident, the acid-filled in the tanker started spreading on the road. At the same time, a bike rider also hit the tanker, but he narrowly survived. After the accident, Kumbhalgarh DSP Narpat Singh, Charbhuja police station incharge Bharat Singh, Kelwa police station incharge Bhagwanlal Maya Jabte reached the scene of the incident. Police reached the spot with a crane, hydro machine. All the occupants of the car buried under the tanker were killed. The movement of people was difficult due to the spread of acid on the road.
The police reached the fireplace from Rajsamand Municipal Council and only after its water was sprinkled. The accident took place on the border of Desuri police station and Charbhuja police station area. Due to this the police of Rajsamand and Pali district also came on the spot.
District Collector Arvind Poswal and Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Gupta also reached the spot after the accident. All the dead bodies were kept in the mortuary of Charbhuja and the relatives of the deceased were informed. Now post mortem of dead bodies will be done after the arrival of family members.
