Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, a little over a month ago. Since then, several people, including certain political personalities have requested for a CBI probe into the 34-year-old actor’s death and what led him to this fateful end.
Today, Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty took to social media to request Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case.
In a two-part tweet, Rhea wrote, “Respected @amitshahofficial sir , I’m sushants Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise . I have complete faith in the government , however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely Rhea Chakraborty #satyamevajayate (sic).”

She also shared the same note on her Instagram page, along with a photograph of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Earlier today, Rhea Chakraborty had shared a screenshot of a message she received on Instagram where the user threatened to get her raped and killed. She wrote, “I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet. I was called a murderer ….I kept quiet. I was slut shamed ….I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut? (sic).”
“Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment. I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH (sic),” Rhea added.
Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty had been dating for some time. It was reported that they even lived together in Sushant’s Bandra, Mumbai apartment, until recently. Rhea even visited Cooper Hospital where Sushant was taken before he was declared dead, but didn’t attend his funeral. Mumbai’s Bandra Police has recorded Rhea’s statement among 30 others regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. In her statement, the actress had revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput had ended his contract with Yash Raj Films and had asked her to do the same.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah, in a letter to Pappu Yadav, acknowledged his request for a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case as well. Yadav took to his official Twitter page to share a copy f the letter he received from the office of Amit Shah. The letter stated that Yadav’s request was received on June 16, 2020, where a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case was demanded. Since CBI doesn’t come under MHA and falls under DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training), Amit Shah said in the letter that he is forwarding it to the concerned ministry.
