Former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa took a dig at the film director and producer Karan Johar asking him to get ready for “coffee with NCB”.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the central agency probing a drugs case linked to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, will question Karan Johar.

Karan Johar on Friday issued a statement on his social media addressing the matter. In his statement, Karan also addressed the 2019 party video that SAD leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a complaint on and is under scrutiny.

Responding to Johar’s letter, Sirsa took to Twitter to share a video and said that the film director thinks he is above the law.

Earlier, Sirsa had said that NCB will soon summon Karan Johar also to question him about the drug party video that surfaced in 2019.

Speaking with a news channel, the political leader said, “I had urged the then Mumbai Police Commissioner to probe into the ‘rave party’ last year in August. There can be only two reasons for the probe to not happen at all till date- either they believe the drugs use was so normal that no investigation is required, or they are all hand-in-glove. Wo sab ek dusra se mile hue hain. “

He further told Republic, “Why else would you not probe into a matter despite video proof and several reminders? This is why I decided to meet NCB chief Rakesh Asthana and urge him to investigate. Shouldn’t have Mumbai Police investigated this instead of looking the other way?”

Sirsa posted a video of his interaction and tweeted, “Soon @karanjohar will have “Koffee with NCB “ where the deepest and darkest secrets of “Koke with Karan” will be uncovered @KanganaTeam @shahidkapoor.”

NCB has issued summons to actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor. Interestingly, Dharma Productions director and executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad has also been summoned. Dharma Productions is owned by Karan Johar.

Sirsa said that if the Mumbai Police had probed the matter timely, we might not have lost Sushant Singh Rajput. The video was of a party held at Karan Johar’s residence. Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Vicky Kaushal were among those who were seen in the video.
