Crimes against humanity, war crimes, brutal human rights violations are perpetrated on a daily basis throughout the Middle East, Asia and Africa, where Islamic terrorist organizations are gaining power like the Taliban in Afghanistan.
In these areas where Sharia law is practiced (Islamic religious law), there is no authority that protects human rights. Children are the first victims of this tragedy.
As you can see in the video below, a 6-year-old girl was forced into marriage by an elderly Afghan man who took advantage of her family’s poverty to “buy” the girl into slavery.
Child marriage is still practiced all over the Arab-Muslim world in countries such as Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, etc.
An estimated 12 million girls under 18 are married each year. Girls who marry before they turn 18 are less likely to remain in school and more likely to experience domestic violence. Everything possible must be done to protect these vulnerable children.
Under Sharia law girls can marry at the age of 6, just like the Prophet Muhammad from the Koran did when he married Aisha. Muhammad consummated his marriage with Aisha when she was nine.
