New Delhi: World-renowned NGO, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal (SBS FOUNDATION), under the supervision of its Founder Jitender Singh Shunty, President Hanuman Lakhotia, President Women’s Wing, Manjeet Kaur Shunty, President Youth, Jyot Singh Shunty, and several Volunteers, successfully launched four (4) more new Ambulances and added the same to its fleet of Ambulances, taking it’s count to 12 Ambulances now, actively working in the service of Mankind 24 x 7, Free of Cost. These Four New Ambulances were inaugurated and flagged off by Hon’ble MP, Lok Sabha and National President of Shiromani Akali Dal, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, at his residence, 12 Safdarjung Road, on 6th January 2020. Mr. Badal Cut the Ribbons and Showed the Green Flag, signaling the Ambulances for its beginning on Delhi Roads. These Ambulances were contributed by R.E.C Foundation, Delhi, who took this noble initiative, under the CSR Activity. Also present on the occasion were S. Balwinder Singh Bhunder (Hon’ble MP, Rajya Sabha), S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa (President DSGMC), and S. Harmeet Singh Kalka (Gen. Secretary, DSGMC).

Jitender Singh Shunty, Founder of the NGO and Former Legislator from Delhi, mentioned- “I would like to thank S. Sukhbir Singh Badal for obliging us with his utmost presence today and taking out of time out of his busy schedule, and inaugurating these four New Ambulances. All our Ambulances are dedicated to the service of the People, Day and Night, Free-of-Cost. It is one basic need of people and we are proud to be running our services since the last two and half decades now. I also thank the R.E.C Foundation, for their thoughtful and noble action, in contributing these Ambulances to our NGO and helping Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal (SBS Foundation), serve more people than before.”
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal (SBS FOUNDATION) is a Not-For-Profit organization which is actively involved in many social welfare activities such as free cremation for unclaimed and poor dead bodies, free hearse van, free 24 hrs ambulance Service, free blood donation and distribution of free tricycle for handicapped., disaster management, free recreational services for senior citizens, HIV awareness, youth Sports Club, etc. This organization also has been an active member of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority. During almost all the unfortunate mishaps, natural calamities in Delhi, they provided all their helping hands to the victims. The NGO also spread its help in International calamities such as Nepal quakes. The NGO has been involved in various social works to serve society and humanity. Till date the NGO has carried app 44, 000 dead bodies for cremation & app. 38,000 patients free of any cost. The NGO has carried out app 14,000 Free of Cost Cremations for Needy and Poor. The NGO has collected and donated app. 32,000 units of blood free of any cost and donated to people. The Founder of the NGO Mr. Jitender Singh Shunty has even been awarded the Red & White Bravery award and the NGO has also won ‘Bhagidari’ awards for best NGO in Delhi, (Highest honour for an NGO) twice at the hands of Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi. The Founder Mr. Shunty has himself voluntarily donated blood for 100 times and has his named registered in the prestigious World Book of Records, London. Shunty has also been awarded with the title of Donor Singh and Centurion Award by National Blood Transfusion Council (Govt. of India) and Delhi State Blood Transfusion Council (Delhi Govt.), respectively.
